And who are you, the proud lord said,
That I must bow so low?
They were just standing in the ballroom, watching the people dancing. Hema was just about to ask her to join them, when this happened. A whizz broke through the music. Zana cried, seeing a bolt in her husband’s chest. Then, he felt on the floor.
Only a cat of a different coat,
That's all the truth I know.
The lyrics still sounded in her hears. His blood was quickly covering her hands and clothes.
'Just hold on, ok?' she whispered, still pressing the place in the middle of his chest, where the bolt was 'Somebody help me!'
'It’s… too late… no

'I'm so bored …' murmured Zana, leaning more comfortable on Hema's shoulder.
With all Gaang they went to their old place on Ember Island, to rest a bit from their daily routines. They were there a week long now and to be honest, they were sick of lack of any duties. In two days their free time would come to an end, but young princess was quite sure that she will dies for boredom until then. The others weren't in much better condition as well. All of them had some important jobs, so such laziness was strange for them. Sokka gave his friends a quick glance.
'I think I know, what will give us some fun he said, grinning.

‘Hema from the Water Tribe?’ soldier’s voice disturbed their conversation.
They were sitting together by the seashore, outside the capitol city. None of them thought that anyone would bother them here, so they looked surprised at the group at first, then at each other.
‘Yes, that’s me’ said Hema, getting up from the ground and standing between the men and Zana. ‘Something’s wrong?’
Two soldiers have split from the rest and before young lovers were able to do anything they grabbed boy’s arms.

They didn’t even fully reach the docs, when Hema jumped out of the boat on the harbor’s boards. He felt as his heart started beating cheerfully. It seemed like he hadn’t been here for eternity, when really it was just three days. The Fire Nation’s territory may not be his homeland, but she was there. And that was enough.
‘Moor the boat well, and wait for my next orders’ he heard his father’s voice.
‘Aye, captain!’
Soon, he felt someone standing just next to him.
‘Go to her, son. There you have your place.’
He knew father is right. He smiled to him, gave him a nod and ru

She sat curled on the floor, in the empty room which was her apartment lately. She had no idea how long she had been here. A year? … no, a half a year. She actually didn’t know if she was more mad at Zuko and Zana that they had put her in this asylum again, or thankful. Because though she haven’t got all the luxury she got used to, being here gave her something far more important. Peace. And a lot of time to think. Time, which she used the best she could. It wasn’t easy. This poison which her father was trickling into her through all those years, with which she fed herself in some way, was leaving girl’s bod

Zana walked through the palace corridors, aiming to the training place. She had a free afternoon that day, so she decided to use this time for some training. She was yet few meters away from the entrance, when she heard someone's scream. She frowned, wondering, who might be in the training place at this hour, and amazed by the sound of heard voice. She was even more surprised, when she saw no one else but her niece.
'Ursa? What are you doing here?' she said, watching the five-year-old trying to do some complicated form, in vain.
But hearing the sound of Zana's voice, girl jumped up from the ground.
'Auntie! I … nothing! …

Zuko looked at Zana, who was just next to him, as they stood in front of the stairs to the dais in the Fire Temple.
'Are you sure you want to do this?' he asked with a whisper.
'Do I have a choice?' the girl replied, glancing at him. 'You know the deal the father of great grandfather Sozin have made.'
She straightened a little, turning her head to the stairs. As far as she remembered, they had to wait until the Fire Sages give the sign to come.
'Of course you do have a choice' her brother's voice gained her attention again. 'No one expects from you to fulfill the deal our ancestor made.'
Zana looked at him, smiling indulgently.

'Grandpa, grandpa!' cheerful voice of a child sounded on palace corridor, echoing up to the garden.
Zuko smiled softly, and took another sip of his tea. He wasn't worrying about being found. Little Iroh have discovered his hiding before. And though now retired Fire Lord was here to have some rest and peace, he knew that this scamp's presence wouldn't upset him. And just as he expected, while later a six-year-old boy rushed into the arbour. He moved toward the sitting man immediately and literally jump on a free place next to him.
'Grandpa, tell me about yours and uncle Aang's adventures!' asked the toddler, giving his grandfather a plead

He saw her in the garden, when he was walking from one part of the palace to another. Aang stopped for a moment, watching the girl who was sitting near the pond. She was there alone, thoughtful, throwing pieces of bread she was holding to the turtleducks. Something was certainly bothering her, he saw it. That was why he slowly started getting closer, forgetting about the library he was aiming to. His avatar instinct was telling him that he should have a little talk with her.
'Hey' he said softly when he was a few meters from her yet. 'How are you?'
As she heard his voice, Azula turned to the newcomer. An unhappy smile appeared on her f

Second week just passed, since she was here all alone. And it was only her fault. She could only blame herself for that. On her own will she spurned her brother's helping hand. Because, despite of that Zuko came to her few weeks after their mom's death and funeral, and though he wanted to take her with him to the palace, she refused. And actually 'refused' is not a good word. She had almost literally thrown him out of her house, telling him to get out of her sight for good and leave her alone. Oh, how much she was regretting her words now!
Though she was doing her best, since that day nothing was the way it should. Theoretically she was
